Assalamu alaikum respected parents,
I pray you and your families are well. We look forward to seeing all our students tomorrow, FEBRUARY 25th in sha Allah. JazakAllah Khair to all the parents who joined us for PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES last Sunday. Alhumdulillah we had a great turn out ma sha Allah. Our students also enjoyed participating the MUHSEN Youth Workshop last Sunday led by Br Shaaz Adeel, Sr Mariam Ahmed and Br Imran Khalique and learned all about how to be an inclusive community supportive of children and adults with specific needs.
Please note that our SURAH MEMORIZATION competition is scheduled for SUNDAY, MARCH 3rd during Sunday School hours. If your child would like to participate, please remind them to let their Quran Teachers know as we need to finalize the list of all participants by this Sunday, 2/25 in sha Allah. The list of Surah's assigned for each grade level from PreK to 8th grade are listed below in the "News You Can Use" section of this Newsletter.
Sunday School is pleased to announce it's first ever Parent Support Group (PSG) of the 2023-24 School year led by Sr Samina Anwar and our amazing team of parent volunteers. They have lined up several activities for rest of the year in sha Allah, starting with the "Welcome Ramadan Party" on March 10th, 2024 for our students during Sunday School hours. MORNING ASSEMBLY: On Sunday (2/18), our morning assembly was led by our IFN Clinic Nurse, Sr Nancy Romanchek. She did a brief training with the students on "STOP THE BLEED" and discussed what to do in an event when there is a traumatic injury with bleeding.
