During the meeting, the Ross community elected two members to the Ross LSAT committee, including Marissa Piropato and Mawadda Gartner. There are two slots remaining on the LSAT committee. ISO Room Parents for 2024-2025 School Year
Teachers and the PTA are seeking a room parents for the 2024-2025 school year to serve as a liaison between the classroom and PTA and to support parent relationships and bonding in the classrooms. Room parents help the teachers identify chaperones for field trips and also communicate about monthly birthday celebrations and class events such as the Valentine's Party. Much of the role can be done via email. Please reach out to holly.searl@k12.dc.gov if you would like to volunteer.
Open Piano/Mic Evening for Ross Kids
Let's send off the 2023-2024 school year and start the summer on a high note! Before everyone departs for their summer plans, please join Ross families at next week's open piano/open mic evening on Thursday, June 20 from 6:00-7:30pm in the upstairs performance space at the Saloon (1205 U St. NW). Open Piano/Mic is an inclusive space for all young musical artists to share their talents, and for the adults and friends and family who love them to celebrate and enjoy it with food and adult beverages as well.

Spanish Before-school Program for Next School Year: Enrollment Is Open
Isabella & Ferdinand's before-school Spanish program at Ross is open for fall enrollment (grades K-5 only). The 15-week, 30-session program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Ross from 7:55am-8:40am. Enroll here (click drop-down to select fall session).

Ross Yearbooks: Last Chance!
Want a Ross yearbook? Yearbooks are still available for online purchase only (https://square.link/u/t49xTeZo); the cost is $30. Yearbooks may be picked up from Officer Woodley; simply show your receipt. They are available until they are sold out.

Community Meeting: Stead Park Athletic Field Replacement Project
Join the DC Department of Parks and Recreation and the DC Department of General Services for a community meeting on Monday, June 24 from 6:30-7:30pm at the Stead Recreation Center (1625 P Street NW) to discuss the athletic field replacement project at Stead Park Recreation Center.

The World & Me Pollinator Celebration
The World & Me: Pollinator Celebration
Where: Natural History Museum | National Mall, DC
When: Saturday, 10:00am-12:30pm
Admission: Free
Join the museum for an early celebration of Pollinator Week! See pollinator specimens up close, meet scientists and horticulturists studying and providing habitats for local pollinators, create your own print inspired by pollinators, and more! Smithsonian Gardens and USDA Forest Service will be there to share about pollinators, too. Drop in to the event at any time.

Join local non-profit, Turning the Page, for a day of learning and fun! Over a dozen children’s authors and illustrators, including many from the Children's Book Guild of Washington, DC. Authors and illustrators will be bringing their books and fun art activities for families to take home. Wilson Plaza is located outside the Ronald Reagan Building in Downtown DC.
