LET'S GO BULLDOGS!!!
COLLEGE TOUR
Seniors will be touring the campus of Howard College on Friday, April 11.
Juniors will visit TSTC in Abilene on Wednesday, April 16.
Sophomores will head to Angelo State University on Thursday, April 24.
Freshmen will tour Howard Payne University on Friday, April 25.
8th grade will be touring the campus of Angelo State University on May 7.
6th GRADE PARENT MEETING
We will have a parent meeting for 6th grade parents on Thursday, April 10 at 5:00 pm. Our 6th graders have a unique field trip opportunity coming up. You definitely don't want to miss this great informational meeting.
STAAR TESTS
Wednesday, April 9---Freshmen and Sophomores will take the English I and English II End of Course STAAR exams. These are 2 of the 5 EOC tests high school students must pass for graduation. Any juniors or seniors who have not passed these tests, will be taking them on Wednesday as well.
Thursday, April 10-- 3rd-8th grade students will take the English/Reading STAAR test.
PreK-2nd Grade Field Trips
PreK-2nd grade students have two field trips coming up. They are scheduled to visit the Donkey Rescue and go to a park for a picnic on April 10. They will be going to the Abilene Zoo on April 30.
EDEN CISD CELEBRATES THE RIBBON CUTTING ON OUR NEW BOOK VENDING MACHINE.
Daisy in PreK read 130 books.
Colton in 1st grade was the first to read 125 books.
Students celebrate the ribbon cutting.
Jorge in 8th grade has read the most books in junior high.
Cassey in 9th grade has read the most books in high school.
Edgar earned a High Paw Award and a book token for demonstrating great character
DRESS CODE REMINDERS
Just a few dress code reminders as we head into Spring:
* Bangs must be above the eyebrows.
* Students must be clean-shaven.
* Shorts and skirts for secondary students may be no shorter than 5 inches above the knee when standing up straight.
* Shorts and skirts for elementary students must be fingertip length when standing up straight.
* When wearing tight fitting spandex/leggings, the shirt or top must follow the above guidelines (5 inches above knee for secondary students and fingertip length for elementary).
* If there are holes or tears higher than 5 inches above the knee in jeans/pants, leggings must be worn underneath.
* Shirts/tops must cover the abdomen at all times.

JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL PHYSICALS
When: Friday, April 11
Time: 1:00-3:30 pm
Who: Current 5th--11th grade students who will be participating next year in any of the following:
Football
Cheer
Marching Band
Basketball
Tennis
Track
Cross Country
Golf
Students will bring home permission slips that must be signed and returned in order for them to have the physicals.
FCCLA BUNDT CAKES
Thank you to everyone who supported the FCCLA Bundt cake fundraiser. Cakes will be delivered on Tuesday, April 8.
GOOD LUCK AT STATE
FCCLA will be traveling to the State competition in Dallas April 10-12. Good luck to all 5 teams!
FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTION
Eden High School and the San Angelo Food Bank will do their monthly distribution on Thursday, April 10. Drive through the elementary drop off line between 10:00-11:00.
PROGRESS REPORTS
Friday, April 11 will be the end of 3 weeks. Progress reports will be posted in Parent Portal on Tuesday, April 15.
Any students who lost eligibility at the end of the last 9 weeks will have an opportunity to regain their eligibility. Please encourage your students to get all of their work turned in.

One of our goals is to expose our students to career opportunities they may never have considered. Over the next few weeks, we will have several presenters coming in including:

Please mark the following dates on your calendars for upcoming STAAR tests. These next few weeks we will be reviewing the skills and standards students have learned all year in preparation for their end of year exams.

COME TO THE EDEN DINNER THEATRE
On Thursday, May 8, the Eden Theatre Department will host dinner and entertainment as a fundraiser.
The junior high theatre class will present "The Monsters Under the Bed."
The OAP team will present "How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse."
