NEEDED - Music Keyboard
Our music room is in need of a Music Keyboard. Before we purchase one, we wanted to reach out and see if any families have one they would be able to donate. The keyboard needs the following:
- Full size keyboard (88 keys)
- Keys need to be fully weighted
- Needs to have a sustain pedal attached, or have the capability to plug a pedal in
- Piano Bench if included
If you, or someone you know, want to donate a keyboard, new or used, please contact Ms. Burden.
September Adventure Challenge (for all interested)
Every month, students are introduced to an ADVENTURE CHALLENGE that offers them a fun and interesting way to learn at home and share their learning at school. Please see the attached introducation given to students and the Adventure Link this month.
Counseling Corner
Welcome Back Foxes! We are delighted to be back providing support and counseling services to the students and families of Dr. Justina Ford Elementary. We live in an ever-changing world and are unfortunately seeing an increase in stress levels in our children. Social/emotional concerns may show up in a student’s behavior and may impact his or her readiness or ability to reach their full potential academically, socially, emotionally and behaviorally. We can provide a variety of services to our students in an effort to help them succeed at school and learn skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
If you have any concerns about your child that you would like to discuss with us, please feel free to contact us by phone or email.
We’re looking forward to another rewarding year working with the Ford community!

Dress Code Questions
We have had a few questions come in about the dress code here at Ford Elementary. Our Ford Family Handbook states the following:
Clothing needs to be in good repair and clean. It should properly cover the body. Hats may be worn but need to be removed for the pledge and at teachers' requests. Clothing should not be distracting or offensive to others.
If you have further questions, please refer to the LPS Student Code of Conduct for further guidelines. Thank you for your support!
