Lost and Found - Check for items before December 13th!
We have accumulated several items that were left behind in classrooms, on the playground, or found sitting around the hallways. We have been reminding students to check lost and found in the morning news, but parents - please ask your kids to check lost and found or feel free to stop by and take a look if you notice your child has suddenly started missing something. All of these items will be donated to a local charity on December 13th so please make every effort to claim any items that may be yours before that day.

Last Day for Measuring Up Milestones Practice Books
Each year we are asked, “How do I prepare my child for the Georgia Milestones?” This year we are once again offering the opportunity to purchase a grade-specific practice book which provides comprehensive instruction and practice on all the key skills and concepts covered by the Georgia Standards. Student workbooks along with access to online answer keys are available for Grades 3-5 in Reading/ELA and Math. Science is available for Grade 5 only. The cost is $17 per book. We are only accepting Online School Payment (OSP), no checks or cash. No additional or late orders will be accepted as this is a courtesy one-time order for parents.
Please note:
· All orders must be placed through the Online School Payment (OSP) beginning today, November 11 through December 5. No additional or late orders will be accepted, so please tell your friends and neighbors to help spread the word.
· Access the OSP link through the Wilson Creek Elementary School website homepage. You will find it on the left hand side under the picture logo or by clicking here: Measuring Up Books
· Student ID # is required to make payments through OSP. This is the same number and your student’s lunch account.
· Once in OSP you will see the title Measuring Up. You will need to click the drop down for the grade and subject.
· Please be sure to select the drop-down option for the grade level and subject of the book you wish to purchase. All students take the GMAS for the grade they are currently in, regardless of Continuous Achievement Levels. (for example, all 3rd graders that the 3rd grade GMAS and the 3rd grade math even if they are studying 4th grade in class).
· The school will not order any extra books, so please be careful to select the books you want. There will not be an opportunity to purchase at a later date.
Please note, these books will be delivered to school and sent home with students once they arrive, likely after the holiday break.
If you have any questions, please contact Marla Grosswald at grosswaldm@fultonschools.org.

After School Programs for Spring Semester
Challenge Island
Challenge Island provides a screen-free, creative learning space for children to use critical thinking and problem solving skills to complete hands-on STEM challenges. Every week, students tackle a different standards-aligned challenge with their STEAMMates, using only a treasure chest of low-tech supplies and their boundless imaginations. Next semester, our challenges are inspired by the Shark Tank TV show, intertwining STEAM and entrepreneurship. From engineering theme parks to building lunar landers to conducting chemical experiments, there is a lot to learn as we create and pitch our STEAM businesses! More information at this link, and register at this link.
Challenge Island is held on Fridays, Jan 31-Apr 25: 2:30-3:30pm
