Principals Message
Dear Friendly Hills Families,
As we approach the close of another remarkable year, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible partnership we've shared throughout this journey. The strength of our school community is built on the unwavering support, trust, and collaboration between our families and staff. Together, we’ve navigated challenges, celebrated growth, and supported each other in countless ways. For this, we are truly thankful.
Hal Borland’s words resonate with us as we reflect on this year: “Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.” As we move forward, we carry with us the lessons learned and the resilience gained, knowing that each step forward is another opportunity to grow and thrive.
While this year may soon come to a close, it is not a final chapter, but part of an ongoing story of progress, achievement, and shared success. We look forward to finishing this year strong and to all that lies ahead for our students in the coming months.
Thank you for being an essential part of our school family. Together, we continue to build a bright and hopeful future for every student.
Wishing you a joyful and restful holiday season! Warmly, Ms. Roach

Winter Clothing Drive
The San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department is teaming up with Morongo Unified School District for a winter clothing drive.
This season, make a difference by participating in our winter clothing drive event benefiting students of the Morongo Basin. Donate new or gently used coats and winter clothing items to help local children stay warm during the cold winter months.
FHES is a local drop off location.
TK - 4th Winter Performance
Grades TK - 4th will be having a winter performance December 18th at 5:30pm. We ask that all parents please sit and watch the whole performance as all of our kids deserve to have a full audience to perform too.
Thank you
Cold Weather is Here
Please dress your kiddos in warmer clothes as the temperature starts to drop. Please be on the look out for jackets, hats, and gloves that DON"T make it home. This is also the time of year when our lost and found piles up with lost articles of clothing. Please make sure your students name is in their clothing so if they were to be separated they can easily be reunited.
Ice Cream for Attendance
For the month of October our district office put a challenge out to all the schools. Any school that was able to raise their monthly average attendance by 1% would get an ice cream party for the entire school. Well WE DID IT!!! Thank you to all of our amazing parents and guardians for your support and recognizing the importance of school attendance. The students were able to get their ice cream reward Thursday November 21st during their lunch period.
December 23rd - January 6th - Students Return to School on Tuesday January 7th
