News and Notes
I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Don't forget that this Thursday is a noon dismissal. There will be no After Care. All children must be picked up at noon! There is no school on Friday! Merry Christmas!
Thank you to Cynthia Avecillas and Sonia Norville for planning a wonderful event this past Friday. The Christmas Caroling and Grinch night was a huge success and I hope it becomes an annual tradition.
As you drop off and pick up children, please make sure that you utilize our parking lot. If you chose to park on the street, do not block any neighbor's driveway. We have had some neighbors complaining recently that parents are double parking and blocking driveways.
Have a fabulous day,
Ms. Kazan

Basketball Scores!
Our basketball season continued this weekend with some exciting games! Our 6th grade girls won both of their games! 5/6th boys won their game. There were some tough losses for our 4/5th girls, 5th grade girls , 5th grade boys, 7th/8th green and 7th/8th gold.
The Season of Advent
Yesterday was the 3rd Sunday of Advent, also known as Gaudete Sunday. Gaudete means rejoice in Latin. Gaudete Sunday reminds us that although we are hopefully waiting, this is a time for joy. Something wonderful, the birth of Christ, is coming. Since i was a young girl, Gaudete Sunday has been my favorite part of Lent. ii love that we take a little break to rejoice. It is good time in the business of Christmas, and the worrying over whether we have everything done, to remember what is joyful in our life and why we should rejoice!
I have attached a weekly calendar below. This calendar has daily activities to celebrate advent with your children.
