Hello Mayo Families!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Mayo Mamas!
We have had a busy couple of weeks. Cardboard Day was something else! It was described to me as being “Chaotic Fun” and I agree. I can’t thank the parent volunteers enough for the help to pull that off. Cutting cardboard and tape non-stop is an unsung job - but it was noticed!! Here is the link to the YouTube video of pictures. The creativity and smiles say it all. We also had an absolutely amazing Staff Appreciation week. Thanks to all the volunteers, treats, cards, and love. It really means the world to us all!
Our Girls on the Run club had its first 5K practice session last week. They were strong and determined, the way we want every girl to be! There was also a Bus Evacuation Drill that went off without a hitch (and the rain held off). And with nice weather, comes more items in the Lost and Found. Here is the latest pile of belongings (only 1 had a name in it and was returned!). We will be donating this batch to charity at the end of the month. I will also send this video to teachers to play in class. Lost & Found Treasures
This week we have Grade 5 Girls and Boys Night on the 14th at 6:30. Boys will meet in the cafeteria and the girls will meet in the library. Grade 5 also has Math MCAS this week on Tuesday and Thursday. We know they are ready!
Reminders:
*Students have a ½ day on Wednesday.
*Pinecroft will be donating a % of all food purchased from 11-8 on the 15th to Mayo (be sure to mention MAYO!)
*Grade 1 has a field trip this week (6/16).
*Mayo Night at the WOOSOX is Friday the 17th. The Mayo ticket deal is closed but any ticket holder can join Mayo friends in the berm seating area.
Have a great week!
Kindly,
Carolan Kasper
