Each should take no more than 10-15 minutes; the survey will only be available for a few weeks, so your prompt response is appreciated.

Thank you!
If you fill out the survey please have your student visit the media center!!

Changes for Email & Chat for TSD Students
In today’s digital age, our lives are intertwined with technology. To fulfill our duty of providing the best technological support for students, TSD is introducing a tiered approach to student communication tools.
Digital security is central to our work in I.T.S., and our network security team has collaborated with Homeland Security to conduct an IT audit as well as a TSD Google Domain audit. In light of these audits and recent phishing scams, we are implementing the following changes for students' Google accounts. We believe this scaffolded approach will help students learn how to effectively communicate and use powerful digital tools like Email and Chat.
6th – 8th Grade
Middle school students will only be able to send and receive emails within the TSD Google domain, as well as receive notifications from district platforms (Infinite Campus, Destiny, and Google services). Chat functionality will be disabled for this group. Teachers and students can focus on mastering the art of email communication within the @tsd.org domain. This change helps reduce phishing risks while giving students the opportunity to collaborate and communicate with their teachers and classmates.

7th Grade SOS Signs of Suicide Prevention Program
The adolescent years bring about many changes and emotions within our youth. It is easy to
misread depression as normal adolescent turmoil; however, depression appears to be occurring at a much earlier age. Depression, which is treatable, is a leading risk factor for suicide.
To proactively address these issues, Walt Clark Middle School is offering depression awareness and suicide prevention training as part of the SOS Signs of Suicide Prevention Program. This
program has proven to be successful at increasing help seeking by students concerned about
themselves or a friend. This program is Evidence-Based and is recognized by SAMHSA for its
ability to address suicide risk and depression, while reducing suicide attempts.
