Some Last Minute 2024 - 2025 School Year Reminders:

Report card marks and comments are now available for viewing through PowerSchool.

We will have staggered entry on the first two days of school next school year. This will allow staff more time to connect with students, adjust schedules and options, and go over any new changes to our school year.

Students with last name that starts with A to K will attend on TUESDAY, September 3rd.

Students with a last name that starts with L to Z will attend on WEDNESDAY, September 4th. (This will be a Tuesday on your PS schedule)

ALL STUDENTS will attend on THURSDAY, September 5th

There will be NO early dismissal days next year

We wish you all a wonderful summer and look forward to welcoming you again in the Fall. God bless all of our families during summer break.

June's EICS Board of Trustees Highlights are now available!

This edition recaps the Board's Public Board Meeting and Organizational Meeting earlier this month, as well as Trustee advocacy efforts on behalf of Elk Island Catholic Schools. It also includes our first look inside the future Blessed Carlo Acutis Catholic High School in Camrose, and other events around our division as we wrap up the school year.

Please make sure your locks have been removed from your lockers before leaving for summer.

Our caretakers will need to clean all lockers and if not removed, they will be cut off and you will need to purchase a new lock next year.

REMINDER: ONLY school-purchased locks are permitted at OLMP.

Reminder Regarding 2024 - 2025 Student Placement 🎒

As we plan for next year, our professional staff will collaborate to best meet the needs of all students.

Please read the following letter outlining our rationale with this process.

High School Timetable Changes

Timetables will be available through PowerSchool in mid-August. Course changes will only be permitted for students who have an exceptional circumstance such as a course sequencing that is incorrect, completion of a course in summer school or insufficient prerequisites (course failure from previous year).

Students with parents/guardians will need to complete the 2024-2025 Course Change Request Form by August 21, 2024. Look for a reminder email mid-August.

New Students to OLMP 🤗

Newcomer families and newly registered students will have the opportunity to register for courses, tour the school and meet with an administrator through appointment on August 26th. Please register using the following link and/or emailing jaymier@eics.ab.ca.

Birthday Celebrations 🥳

Leadership Students Seeking Bottle Donations 💰

Four OLMP high school students and Mrs. Terlesky are headed to the Canadian Student Leadership Conference in Haliburton, Ontario in October.

To make this a cost effective trip for them they are asking people to donate their bottles and cans at the Universal Bottle Depot this summer - just say it's for OLMP Leadership.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated!

Please take a few minutes to complete your child's demographic forms, medical forms, and all yearly consents (FOIP, tech use, field trips) on PowerSchool.

It is important that this information be kept up-to-date every year, especially if there is a change in medical status, parent/guardian/emergency contact information, and/or address.
