Our Blueprint in Action
The Blueprint in Action focus for the months of April and May is Safe and Welcoming Schools. During these months we will be spotlighting how our schools are prioritizing safety, and welcoming students and families.
GCPS honors outstanding head custodians, school teams keeping schools clean and safe
GCPS' clean, safe, and welcoming learning spaces happen because of the district's caring, professional custodial teams. Our head custodians and their building teams go the extra mile every day. This month the district honored its outstanding custodians at the 37th Annual Custodial Awards Ceremony.
Summer 2025 construction and renovations underway across GCPS
As a part of our ongoing commitment to improving school facilities and supporting student learning environments, GCPS will be completing a wide range of capital improvement projects this summer. These projects—funded through the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (E-SPLOST)—include HVAC upgrades, roofing replacements, classroom renovations, additions, paving, and more. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continually work to ensure each of our schools are safe, clean, and welcoming for our students, families, staff, and community.
Free familiy literacy classes for newcomer parents and guardians of GCPS students who would like to learn English
The International Newcomer Center (INC) provides services and support for our students, families, and schools that inspire high levels of learning and engagement. Learn more about the power of the INC's Family Literacy classes.
