Clear Creek Miner's Monthly
April 3rd, 2025
Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the testing season, I want to take a moment to inform you about important dates and share some best practices to help our students perform their best.
Testing Dates:
- CMAS Testing:
- Tuesday, April 15th: 8th Grade Science & 7th Grade Social Studies
- Wednesday, April 16h: 7th and 8th Grade ELA/Math ( Day 2)
- Monday, April 21st: 8th Grade Science
- Monday, April 21st: 11th Grade Science
- PSAT 9, PSAT 10, and SAT:
Best Practices for Success:
1. Rest: Encourage your child to get a good night's sleep before each testing day. Aim for at least 8 hours of sleep to ensure they are well-rested and alert.
2. Healthy Breakfast: A nutritious breakfast is essential. Foods rich in protein, whole grains, and fruits can provide sustained energy. Consider eggs, oatmeal, or yogurt with fruit to kickstart their day.
3. Positive Mindset: Remind your child that testing is just one way to show their knowledge. Encourage them to approach the tests with confidence.
4. Arrive Early: Ensure your child arrives at school on time to avoid any last-minute stress.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can help our students succeed during this important time. If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to reach out.

Clear Creek Students Plan Week without Hate Activities for April 21-24
Day Without Hate is a student-led initiative dedicated to promoting peace, nonviolence, and mental health awareness in schools and communities. Founded in Colorado in response to the rise of school shootings, this movement has grown into a nationally recognized event, observed each April with proclamations from the Governor of Colorado and the mayors of Denver and Arvada.
What began as a grassroots effort has now expanded to 35 states and 7 countries, impacting thousands of students worldwide. To learn more, visit their website.
Student Government has organized activities throughout the week! Check out the flyer for details.

Campus Parent Absence Request Tool
Exciting News! Parents you can now use this Infinite Campus tool to report same-day absences, late arrivals, early dismissals and pre arranged absences. You can access this tool within the Campus Parent website or smart phone app. Specific instructions on how to use the tool can be found in this guide.
Alternatively, you can call the attendance voicemail at 303-679-4680 to report your student absent or late arrival for the day.
Cell Phone Policy
Cellphones are a great way to communicate with your student, however, please know that we cannot excuse your student from class unless the front office sends a pass for them. Also, if you have something urgent that you need to communicate with your student, calling the office is one of the best ways to do so. This way, the school can help in an emergency and we can make sure your student gets the message. Students are using their parents as a reason for needing to use their phone in class, so we wanted you to be aware that if your student does not answer your text or phone call immediately, it means they are focused on their school work. Thank you for partnering with us on this issue.
