Dear Palmer Middle School Families,

This is the LAST Parent Post of the 24/25 school year!!! We have a LOT going on this week!

8th Grade Promotion:

Tuesday, May 20 @ 12:30 in the Gym. Doors are unlocked for families at 12:00PM. Field Day for 8th grade follows in the afternoon. Wednesday is OPTIONAL day for 8th grade.

Field Day for 6th & 7th:

Wednesday, May 21 is the LAST day for STUDENTS and FIELD DAY for 6th-7th (8th grade is optional). If you are a 6th grade family, please bring in individually wrapped DRINKS (milk, juice, soda, etc...please no energy drinks), if you are a 7th grade family, please bring in individually wrapped SNACKS (cookies, gummies, chips, bars, crackers, etc.). Hot dogs and all the trimmings will be provided by PJMS and there is NO cafeteria open for hot lunches that day! If your student has dietary restrictions, please send them with a cold lunch if they cannot eat what is provided.

Yearbooks:

Monday, May 19 YEARBOOKS will be handed out in the cafeteria in the morning .

If your student takes medication at school, please pick up on WEDNESDAY from the School Nurse! Policy dictates that we destroy any unused medications that are left at school.

5/19 Monday

• YEARBOOKS handed out @ LUNCHES

5/20 Tuesday

• 8th grade PROMOTION/CELEBRATION 12:30 PM in large gym

5/21 Wednesday

• FIELD DAY- Last day for students!
• LAST day to pick up MEDICATION from nurses!

• NO SCHOOL for students!

5/23 Friday

• NO SCHOOL for students!

All students will still have their Chromebooks for use during the summer, UNLESS your child's computer was damaged. NO LOANER computers will be sent home for the summer. If students have loaners, those need to be turned in before students leave for the summer.

ALL library books need to be returned before the start of summer. Please make sure to check for any bills from lost books in ParentVue. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Roberts for assistance at stacy.roberts@matsuk12.us.

Daily Lunches:

• Free lunch served all summer at locations across the valley and at Burchell High School.

Weekly Meal Boxes Available:

• One FREE meal box per child packed with 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches per box
• Available to all children in the community, 18 and under (Service at Su Valley, Sutton Elementary, Palmer High and Wasilla Middle)
• No registration required; See flyer for schedule and details!
