Wizards Newsletter
September 6th, 2024
Hello, Wizard families! We are settling into our routines as we reach the Day 10 milestone! Today we had lots of staff members and students showing support for the Hawkeyes, with a few brave Cyclones in the mix. 🙂
Our carline is also running smoothly. Classroom teachers welcome students into their classrooms for a "soft start" beginning at 7:40. The first bell rings at 7:50, and the second bell rings at 7:55. Students should arrive at school by 7:50 so they can get to class and prepare for the start of the day.
As you may remember, our district has adopted the High Reliability Schools Framework to ensure equitable outcomes for all students. Last school year, Wickham became Level One certified, demonstrating that we have a safe, supportive, and collaborative school environment. This year, we will continue this focus and begin working towards improving instruction in every classroom (HRS Level Two). Our teachers will learn how to enhance their instruction for all learners as we embrace the philosophy of continuous growth for everyone.
Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you for your continued support of our Wickham Wizards!

Wickham Fall Fun Fair and Silent Auction- Grade Basket Donations:
Every year, each grade brings in items to make themed “Grade baskets.” These baskets are always very popular.
This year, we request that each child bring one new item to school to contribute to his/her grade’s baskets (see themes below). If you have an item that you would like to contribute that is NOT your child’s grade-themed basket, we would still greatly appreciate the donation and will add this item to another basket. If your family would rather help by sending a monetary donation to help purchase larger items for the grade’s basket, that would also be greatly appreciated. Please turn in all new items to your child’s teacher or monetary donations to the office (in an envelope labeled “silent auction,” and checks made out to Wickham PTO) NO LATER THAN Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 18.
