Spring is (finally) in the air! As we welcome the new season, we're excited for the fresh energy and opportunities it brings. March marks the official start of spring, a time of growth, renewal, and warmer and longer days ahead.

March 7th is scheduled as our Field Day (weather permitting). Parents are encouraged to come join in on the fun!

We also want to remind you that Spring Break is just around the corner from March 10-14.

(March 17th is also a long range planning day for teachers-no students)

This is a great time for students to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with family. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this break to rest and return refreshed for the remainder of the school year.

Rees Elementary

Flem Rees Elementary School opened its doors to 650 students on August 20, 1983. It was the thirteenth elementary school built in the Alief Independent School District. In 2024, Rees Elementary began it's transition to a Performing and Visual Arts Academy.
