As we conclude the school year, I wish I had words of wisdom or more information about what next year is going to look like. Unfortunately, I do not not have those answers at this time. Here is what I know...I know that in one way or another, we will be here in August ready to greet all of you and ready to learn.

It is my sincerest hope that you have a wonderful, restful, and safe summer.

During our school closure, the Simi Valley School Board approved Mrs. Miner as the new principal of Sycamore Elementary School for the upcoming school year. While she will be greatly missed, we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors. In her two years here, she positively impacted our programs and practices. Good luck to Mrs. Miner!

On Wednesday, June 3rd we will collect student chromebooks. The schedule will be as follows:

TK- 8:30

K- 8:50

1-2- 9:20

3-4- 9:40

5-6- 10:00

Please remember to bring the charger with the chromebook. Thank you!

If your child is enrolled in summer school, you can keep the device for summer school.

We also continue to collect the following items:

• Student textbooks (not workbooks)
• Recorders- the flute looking instrument
• Library books
• Teacher library books and book pouches
• Any additional student work to turn in.

Thank you for your assistance in getting these items to us before the end of the school year. We will need these materials for students next school year.

On Wednesday, June 3rd we will distribute culmination and awards certificates to our students matriculating to middle school. We will pass them out at 10:00 AM, during chromebook collection time. If you are unable to come at that time, room 3 will be open until 12:30 PM or you can call the office for an alternative pick up time on Thursday, 6/4.

Our latest update from the yearbook company is that our yearbooks should be delivered on or around June 5th. Based on the projected delivery date, we will need to set up a time for yearbook distribution the week after school gets out. Please stay tuned for additional details.

Our office is open from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM Monday- Friday for the primary purpose of collecting kindergarten and new student enrollment. We will keep the door locked, so please knock on the door. We ask that you wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

The office will continue to be open two weeks after school lets out.

We are accepting kindergarten enrollments and enrollments for all grades at the school site for the 2020-2021 school year. We understand that you may not have access at this time to get the physical and dental forms completed for incoming kindergartners, but you can still fill our the enrollment paperwork so we can your student pre-enrolled.

We are still accepting enrollments for summer school. The summer school program continues to be the Distance Learning Model. You can enroll by clicking on the button below and following the directions from the district website.
