Congratulations to this group of students who received recognition after not only receiving a Pronghorn Pride Ticket, but for also being selected to represent their peers. These students were caught either modeling a school-wide expectation or showing ownership for their learning. Way to be #PronghornStrong!

Tenny competed this last Saturday, March 25, in the Region 1 Hoop Shoot, representing Idaho in the 10-11 year old boy’s division. We are so excited to report that he won the division and will be headed to the national hoop shoot to compete on April 22nd in Chicago.

We are so proud of all his hard work and practice to get to this point in the competition!

The Elks Lodge has provided a website where people can go to send good luck wishes to Tenny. Messages have to be submitted before April 10th!

Miss Jacobs, our Principal Intern, will be the new principal for Seven Oaks Elementary School beginning next school year. As much as we will all miss her, Pleasant View could not be more thrilled for the students, parents, and staff of Seven Oaks Elementary School.

Congratulations, Allie Jacobs! You are a shining example of a leader!

We are looking for a few parents who are open to volunteering at lunch to help run football, basketball, and soccer games. As much as students love playing these games here at school, playing for fun and refereeing themselves is often difficult. However, when the adults can help interact and support, our students LOVE IT. So... here is your chance to join us and engage in some great kid time.

Your child has already received the Hawks Reading Challenge Booklet. If they are interested in working toward a free game ticket, please had them start tracking their reading!

When your child has completed the reading of 4 books, you may sign the reading assignment for your child where it lists "Teacher Signature." Your child will then submit the reading assignment page to Mrs. Senethavilay in the front office.

Please be sure to complete all sections of the Reading Assignment page to include the personal information in the lower right corner of the page. ONLY this page is required to be returned.

These forms are due MAY 2.

We are noticing an unusual amount of “Unverified Absences”. Please note that these turn into truancies after two days. If your student is going to be absent for any reason: illness, personal, etc., please call the school at 208-350-4490 and verify with the main office the reason for the absence. If you prefer to email, please include the teacher and front office.

Also, please take a moment to log into PowerSchool and review your child’s absences. If your child was absent due to a medical, dental, or other provider appointment, a medical excuse can be submitted by the provider and faxed to 208-350-4499. You may also bring the documents directly to the office or scan and email documents to hill.jenene@westada.org. If you have questions or feel there has been an error in the recording of the attendance, please feel free to reach out.
