In the spirit of March Madness, students in grades 5 - 8 did an in depth study of the dynamics of a bouncing ball. Using ping pong balls the students measured the height of a bouncing ball on the first through fourth bounce. They discovered that there is actually a scientific formula (PE = mgh) for these heights. The students learned a lot and had fun doing it. K - 3rd graders created shadow shows demonstrating how shadows work. Students used homemade stages out of cereal boxes, their own puppets and scenery. A brief look at the art of Chinese Shadow Puppetry wrapped up our fun and exciting lesson. This is a great activity for a rainy day to keep children occupied and learning.

If you have not already done so, please log your Parent Partnership hours into MY SERVICE LOG in Sycamore no later than April 30, 2025. All families are required to perform 20 hours of service and failure to participate will result in a fee of $25.00 per service hour. Thank you!

We really need help in our cafeteria on a daily basis. Great way to earn Parent Partnership hours. Kitchen Help will assist the cafeteria with serving food. Cafe Monitor will assist students with opening items and cleaning tables.

You must be VIRTUS compliant. Parent hours need to be logged in to Sycamore for approval!

We need to fill 3 PTO Board positions for next year, the Secretary, the Vice President, and the Treasurer (NOTE the Treasurer position is just a 1 year position). Please email us for details!

Our last PTO meeting will be on Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30pm in the church undercroft. We look forward to seeing you there!
