PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
I want to send a heartfelt thank you for your amazing participation in our recent Family Teacher Conferences. With over 95% of families joining us, it was a huge success! Our teachers and staff really value this time to connect with you, share insights about your child’s learning, and talk about their growth. I personally love welcoming families at the front entrance year after year—it’s one of my favorite traditions.
At Eagle Crest, we truly believe in the power of partnering with families. When we work together, we create an environment where our students can thrive, learn, and grow. Our school motto, "We are leaders, we help build a better world," really reflects our shared commitment to shaping a bright future for our kids.
I also want to give a special shout-out to our amazing PTO! They've been working so hard to keep our teachers fed with delicious, hearty meals during those long conference nights, and their support is just incredible. We couldn’t do it without them!
Thank you again for being such an important part of the Eagle Crest community. Your involvement in Family Teacher Conferences shows your commitment to your child’s education, and it’s such a key part of the special community we’ve built together.
Warm regards,
Amanda
PS: Don’t forget about our annual Laps 4 Leadership fundraiser! This is our biggest (and really, only) fundraiser of the year. The funds raised directly support opportunities and extensions for every student in our school. As a Kindergarten mom myself, I’m excited to participate, and my family will be donating too. Every bit helps us make a difference!

DEAN OF STUDENTS' UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
Throughout the school year, we remain dedicated to fostering Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) traits, promoting RISE (Responsible, Inclusive, Safe, and Empathetic) behaviors in all aspects of the school day. Our students earn RISE Tickets to celebrate their efforts, both big and small, and their enthusiasm is truly contagious! It's heartwarming to see the joy as they race to the office, proudly submitting their tickets and sharing their achievements with our front office team and every adult they meet along the way. Each day, we feature three students in the morning announcements, with the goal of recognizing every student by year’s end.
A highlight in our main hallway is our giant pictograph, which tracks the distribution of RISE Tickets by grade level. This visual celebrates the collective impact of our students’ hard work and dedication to RISE values. We’re proud to say that our students have already earned an impressive 700+ RISE Tickets in just two months!
We couldn’t be prouder of the positive, supportive community our students are building. We look forward to many more RISE moments throughout the year and deeply appreciate your support in reinforcing these values at home.
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney

THANKS FOR A SUCCESSFUL BOOK FAIR!
Thanks so much to all Eagle Crest families and friends that made this year's Paper Pie/Usborne Book Fair a great success! With the proceeds from the book fair, we will be updating our collection in the library with books the kids are requesting.
If you didn't get a chance to stop by in person, the book fair is open online at www.bookstakeusplaces.com until Sunday, October 13 at midnight. Be sure to select Eagle Crest Elementary Book Fair from the Event drop down menu at the top of the page.
And a special thanks goes to PTO for purchasing books from the book fair for Reading Challenge prizes. The kids are going to love their prizes! And I couldn't have done it without all the parent and high school volunteers who helped make the book fair a success. Thank you all!
Keep on Reading!

HALLOWEEN PARADE
We are looking forward to our annual Halloween Parade! We are planning to host our parade on Thursday, October 31st at 2:15pm. The students will make a full lap around the school in their costumes while we all celebrate the return of this fun tradition. All families are welcome to join us as we march outside around the school.
All students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to school on Halloween and should plan to arrive with the full costume on and ready to go. Costumes must be school appropriate and not interfere with the learning environment. Please do not send students with anything violent (weapons, blood, etc.), or costumes that could be a safety hazard while marching. Blow up costumes and masks can only be worn during the parade. Individual teachers will send information home regarding classroom celebrations.
