“Where faith soars, minds excel, and futures ignite”
Week of March 22nd-28th
2023-2024 School Year - Issue #28
Hello St. Michael- St. Clement Students and Families
We have made it to Palm Sunday, and the start of Holy Week. I pray everyone has a peaceful and prayerful week, as we enter into our churches most sacred time. Remember that on Holy Thursday, we will dismiss at Noon, and there is NO aftercare. We will return to school from Spring Break on April the 8th, which will also start our Spring Uniforms.
I would like to officially welcome our new Nurse, Melissa Martello. Melissa joins us from the Neonatal Intensive care Unit at St. Josephs Medical Center. We are truly beyond blessed to have someone like Melissa join the STM-STC community. She officially starts on Monday, but will be in an orientation phase, as she will meet with the county health office, and the AOB to go over certain items and trainings. If you see Melissa next week, please say hello and give her a warm welcome!
A few updates on a couple of projects. Over spring Break, work is scheduled to be completed on the Madeline Stairs barring any significant weather. We are also in the process of going through all of the bids for our networking project. We were blessed to have all of the available companies attend our walkthrough in early March, which made this bidding process very competitive and did help lower prices. Once we decide who we are moving forward with, I will update everyone with more information on this project. All work will take place over the summer.
I hope everyone can make it out tomorrow for the final fish fry of the Lenten season. This year's fish fry has been very successful, and we have had nothing but compliments on how good the food has been.
Lastly, please remember to continue to push and sell our Free Tuition Raffle. We need to sell 1000 tickets for this to be successful. If every student can sell 3-4 tickets we will not only hit our goal, but exceed it tremendously. We are planning to do a live drawing sometime in early may, so please continue to sell! I would love nothing more than to spend the night on a roof in Overlea.
Yours in Christ,
Matt Zipp

2024 Cheetah Chase
In just a few short months, it will be time for our annual Cheetah Chase. This year's race will take place on Friday, May 3rd. "Kick off" packets were sent home with students the end of February. Each packet included a letter explaining the race, an incentive flyer and a sheet for sponsor addresses. These addresses will be used to send sponsors a letter explaining the purpose of our race and asking if they would consider making a donation. A link will also be included in the sponsor letter if they would prefer to make a donation online. All sponsor letters will be mailed out after Easter Break so it is important to please send back the address sheets by THIS Monday, March 25th. If you had addresses already completed from last year and have not sent back any changes, we will assume they are correct and will send letters to those addresses.
Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 to support technology upgrades for our school! If you have any questions regarding this year's race, please don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Kim Thayer at kthayer@stmstc.org or by calling the school office.

Prayer Corner
"Pray, Hope, Don't Worry"- St. Padre Pio
Saint Michael the Archangel isn't a saint, but rather he is an angel, and the leader of all angels and of the army of God. This is what the title "Archangel" means, that he is above all the others in rank.
Redemptorist preacher and reformer. Clement preached, built orphanages and schools, and established a vast Redemptorist presence in the city.
