Online Learning Opportunities
Pella Community Schools will begin posting online learning opportunities for all students beginning Monday, March 30. Access to all websites will be blocked on Jefferson student Chromebooks computers until 6:00 am Monday morning.
When your student gets on their computer the first time it will ask for their email address. Student email addresses are first name.last name@student.pella.k12.ia.us. Their password is the one they use for everything in our building. If your student does not remember their password, you can find it in Infinite Campus under student credentials or you may email Mrs. Winward at paula.winward@pellaschools.org and she will email it to you.
To access the online learning opportunities, visit the Pella Schools COVID-19 page at:
When this site goes live. It will allow you to quickly navigate to a grade or building level and link to a variety of online learning opportunities for your students.
None of these lessons are required nor will they be graded. They are offered as a way to help students continue to grow during this time away from school.
Teachers will be available electronically to help students and parents if they have questions. This varies by building so please check the learning hub for details.
Lessons will be posted one week at a time for however long we need to do so. New lessons will go live each Monday.
This is definitely a unique experience for everyone. Jefferson staff members have been working hard to create some wonderful opportunities for you. While they are not required we strongly encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities. They will not be the same as the daily in classroom experiences but will provide you opportunities to grow and challenge yourself.
It is easy to get out of a routine when we lose our daily schedules. We encourage you to set daily schedules that involve academic time, activity time, and family time. Social distancing doesn't mean social isolation. While we don't want children on technology devices all day, there are opportunities for them to connect with friends online.
