Knightly News
September 2, 2024
Hey there, Krimmel Families!
Thank you for a FANTASTIC start to the 24-25 school year! Students are demonstrating responsibility and GREAT character by following our cell phone and dress code policies.
Please continue to discuss the importance of getting to class on time as we work to reduce tardies at Krimmel. Should a student get caught in a tardy sweep, consequences will apply.
Students will be participating in the Math, Science, and ELA NWEA Map testing September 4-6, 2024. How can you help your child be prepared for testing days?
- Turn off technology and go to bed early the night before the test.
- Set out clothing, pack backpacks/lunches, and set the alarm for an early wake-up call.
- Wake-up early and eat a protein packed breakfast.

Thank you for being a partner in your child's education!
Kindly,

Attendance Counts EVERY Day!
Technology Safety and Support
In Klein ISD, we use a monitoring system called Bark to help ensure the safety of our students. Bark alerts us to potentially harmful or inappropriate content shared on school-issued devices or accounts, including:
- Cyberbullying
- Threats of violence
- Exposure to explicit content
- Signs of self-harm or suicidal thoughts
When a Bark alert is triggered, our school administration is immediately notified. Depending on the nature of the alert, we will take appropriate action, which may include:
- Notification of Parents/Guardians: We will reach out to parents or guardians to discuss the alert and gather more context.
- Counseling or Support Services: In cases involving mental health concerns, we may refer students to our counseling team for additional support.
- Disciplinary Action: For violations of school policies, disciplinary measures may be taken, ranging from a warning to suspension, depending on the severity of the incident.
- Involvement of Authorities: If the alert indicates a credible threat to student safety, we may involve law enforcement.
We ask for your partnership in monitoring your child's technology in the evenings and on weekends, while teachers, faculty, and staff support students during the school day. Please talk with your children about the importance of responsible digital behavior, both at home and at school. Encourage them to speak up if they encounter or feel uncomfortable about something online.

Krimmel Fall Open House
Due to Benignus and Mueller having Open House on September 12th, please note the time change for Krimmel Intermediate from 6:00-7:30. We hope the adjustment to the time allows you to visit both schools if you have students at multiple levels.
The Krimmel Scholastic Book Fair will be OPEN. Click here for more information.
