Virtual Snow Day Update

Oak Brook Families,

Good morning. We hope you are staying safe and warm this morning. Below is some basic information for you about today's schedule. If at anytime you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email one of us or your child's teacher.

Please note that no one is at Oak Brook. If you have technology issues, the most effective way to get help is through the Parkway help desk. The Technology Help Desk is open on virtual learning days from 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m, and can be reached at (314) 415-8181 or helpdesk@parkwayschools.net.

Please note the following:

• Virtual snow days run from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
• By 8:30 a.m., teachers will post any information, activities, or assignments students will need for the day. Many teachers sent items home yesterday with your child and have posted information on Schoology.
• Classroom teachers will be available online for two hours for student support via Google Meet - once from 9-10 a.m. and again from 1-2 p.m. This is time for students to access teachers if they need clarification or additional help with their work for the day. Students are not required to join either of the times when teachers are available.
• Art, Music, Strings and PE teachers will provide activities or assignments for independent learning by 8:30 a.m. They will also be available for student questions or support with their work for the day from 10-11 a.m. and 12-1 p.m. on Google Meet.
• EL, Gifted, Reading, Math Support Specialists, Special Educators, and Librarians will be available from 10-11 a.m. and 12-1 p.m. on Google Meet and will respond to student questions/needs via email.
