Redistricting: Creating a Long-Term Plan for Excellence and Equity in Education
Hello West Seneca Families,
We hope you had a restful winter recess. We were so excited to welcome all of our staff & students back to school today!
Our Redistricting Committee met just before winter recess on Thursday, December 19th. The following sections will provide you with the links(in the form of buttons) to the meeting agenda, presentation & meeting minutes, to read through at your leisure.
We have also included a section at the bottom with helpful links that include a "FAQ" section based upon questions we have received.
We wish you all good health and great happiness in 2025!
Thank you for your time.
Redistricting Committee Meeting - 12/19/2024
As previously mentioned, the Redistricting Committee had their meeting on 12/19/24.
The committee reviewed the guidelines/priorities of the Board of Education from November's meeting again in small groups and then ultimately as a whole. They drilled into what would be known as the 3 "R's" within the meeting; Redistricting, Reconfiguration & Repositioning and what that looks like. Then, they were tasked with reviewing the the great work the previous years committee had done and seeing if there were still viable options. It was a very busy meeting full of great conversation.
Below you will find the buttons that link you to the meeting agenda, the presentation that was used during the meeting, as well as the meeting minutes. We will be sending these out after every committee meeting. You can also find them on the Redistricting portion of our website.
Questions?
We encourage your questions* regarding redistricting and would like to continue building a FAQ on our website that is updated as questions come to us during the course of our redistricting process. As such, we have designated a district email address for you to send those to. We will not be answering those questions via email, they will be posed and answered on our FAQ. (We welcome constructive feedback to the following email as well.)
