Message from Mrs. Adams

I am writing, again, to make you aware of a situation that occurred today during our after-school dance. A student reported that another student was in possession of a weapon. Administration and the School Safety Officer immediately made contact with the student in question, who was searched, and no weapon was found.

Local law enforcement responded to the school and confirmed there was no threat to student safety. The situation remains under further investigation to ensure that those responsible for any false statements are held accountable. The dance concluded at the normal time of 4:30 p.m.

We realize this may have been alarming and chaotic for your student, and we want to assure you that we take every possible measure to maintain a safe and secure environment at our school.

While both situations today were resolved without harm, I want to express my deep disappointment and concern over these events.
