Week-at-a-Glance (WAAG) for April 21-25, 2025
Happy Easter
As the Easter long weekend approaches, may it be a time filled with the profound joy and hope that this season brings. We remember and celebrate the ultimate sacrifice and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, a testament to God's boundless love for us.
May this time offer opportunities for reflection on the gift of faith, the power of redemption, and the promise of new life. Whether you are gathering with family, participating in worship, or simply taking a moment for quiet contemplation, may the spirit of Easter fill your hearts with peace and gratitude.
Wishing you a blessed Easter, filled with the light and love of our Savior.
In faith and hope,
Mrs. Kleparchuk & Mrs. Crowston

Building Mental Fitness: Exercising Our Brains!
Building Mental Fitness: Exercising Our Brains!
We all know that exercising our bodies keeps us strong and healthy, but did you know that our brains need exercise too? Just like we build physical fitness by moving our bodies, we build mental fitness by taking care of our minds.
Here are three key ways to strengthen our brains:
Get Enough Sleep – Sleep is like a “reset button” for our brain. When we sleep, our brain organizes what we learn, stores memories, and helps us feel ready for a new day. Without enough sleep, it’s harder to focus, manage emotions, and solve problems. Kids need about 9-11 hours of sleep each night to keep their brains in top shape!
Practice Positive Self-Talk – The words we say to ourselves matter! Just like a coach encourages their team, we can encourage ourselves with kind and positive words. Instead of saying, “I can’t do this,” try “I’ll give it my best shot!” or “I can learn from mistakes.” Positive self-talk helps build confidence and resilience.
Make Time for Self-Care – Taking care of ourselves helps our brains recharge. Self-care can be as simple as reading a book, listening to music, drawing, playing outside, or spending time with family and friends. When we take time for activities that make us feel good, we help our brains stay strong and balanced.
By practicing these habits, we can all build stronger, healthier minds!
