December Science Day 12/12

November Science Day

Honey, I Shrunk the Cell: Students modeled plant and animal cells, then we shrunk them down into keychain size artifacts. We identified the different organelles and functions of each cell.

Dancing Popcorn: Students simulated an acid/base neutralization reaction with vinegar and baking soda. We discussed how it was a Double Replacement, Endothermic chemical reaction. We also discussed the environmental-friendly aspects of using such a reaction to help with clogged drains, etc. Solution concepts were investigated prior to the reaction, and density review after the reaction took place.

Sign in to Outlook on the web.
At the top of the page, select Settings > Mail.
Under Options, select General > Region and time zone.
Under Region and time zones settings, select the language, date and time formats, and Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Select Save.
