HAPPY SUMMER
FROM ALL OF US
AT WAUKAZOO!
Important Dates:
August 28 = Open House
August 30 = First Day of School
September 1 - 4 = No School, Labor Day RecessThank You Waukazoo Community!
As the year, and my time as Waukazoo’s principal, comes to a close I wanted to express my gratitude to the Waukazoo students, families, and community.
I have greatly appreciated my five years at Waukazoo and value the relationships that I was able to forge, especially with the students. While I am excited for my next opportunity I will, without question, miss our Waukazoo community, the families, and most importantly the students (as well as the hundreds of high fives and hugs daily).
Finally, I will be forever grateful to you all for embracing me as your student’s principal and for trusting our staff to work with your most valuable asset - your kids. I hope that I leave Waukazoo in a better place than when I came and that I’m remembered for being constantly caring, ever present, and someone who did what was best for kids.
The last five years will always hold special memories for me and for that I thank you.

Hello!
It’s hard to believe that this is our last newsletter of the year! I hope your child has enjoyed our adventures in Technology! This week, we’ve had fun playing Sharks and Minnows with Spheros, visiting learning sites, and talking about our favorite activities and memories!
I’m looking forward to next year already!
I will not be putting updates in our grade level links, however, I do have some several learning links to help your child maintain a variety of skills over the summer.
Visit my website at bit.ly/mrsobrientech to find those links!
I wish your family a fun-filled, restful, safe and happy summer!

PBIS Pride Tickets
Waukazoo students earned Waukazoo Pride Tickets all year. These tickets recognize students for being Respectful, Responsible, Ready to Learn, or demonstrating Waukazoo Family Pride. The building goal this year was to reach 12,500 tickets and the students absolutely crushed it with over 13,250 WZ Pride Tickets earned! In honor of reaching their goal the students received a movie, root beer floats, and a special costume day for Mr. Lemmon. Way to go Waukazoo!
