King City Highlands HOA Reminder (directly across 131st from the school)
- Please do not cut through the parking lot of the condominiums - that is private property (as posted) and the residents range from 55 to 95 and do not need to try and be aware of parents driving through their parking lot. Parents can drive a block further east and use 129th Avenue to get back to Dickson Street.
- Please stop parking in the yellow-curb section, north side of Peachvale. There is a clearly identified "No Parking" sign, and yes the yellow is faded but will soon be renewed. This section is for sight distance while exiting Peachvale and frequently parents are parking right to the corner. I will begin asking KC Police to monitor this situation. When I asked a woman parent to move her car upon parking there, she walked away from me and directly to the school. This is a safety hazard for both residents and other, properly parked parents to leave the area.
Deliver food boxes to Deer Creek families
There are a handful of Deer Creek families who rely on the twice monthly food box provision from Packed With Pride, but don't have the transportation to pick up the boxes.
Can you help on a 1st or 3rd Wednesday evening? Sign up here. You simply go through the Packed with Pride car line between 5pm-6:30pm, open your trunk for volunteers to load the food boxes, then deliver to the address provided by Daisy Ruiz, our Family Partnership Advocate. All family identities remain anonymous and protected.
Questions? Email Daisy at druiz@ttsd.k12.or.us
