Off to a Great Start!

Your children impress me every day. They are kind, friendly, funny, and hark-working. Our teachers have been introducing and practicing procedures with students. Children thrive when they understand exactly what is expected of them. At Deerfield, we expect our students to do the right thing and treat people the right way. I observe our students doing this every day. Parents, be proud! Their behavior is a reflection of the hard work you do with them at home. Thank you! We can accomplish so much more while at school each day when our students come to school ready to work and learn.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

We will be holding Parent-Teacher Conferences during the weeks of September 16th-27th, with evening hours available on September 17th and 19th. Your child should bring home a sign-up form from his or her teacher after Labor Day. Please take a look at this paper, respond with times that are the best fit for your schedule, and return this form to school by Friday, September 6th.

Fall Picture Day

Picture Day at Deerfield is Thursday, September 5th! If you want to order, you have two options. You can also call Crabtree Photography at 765-747-6971 if you have any questions.

1. Use the order form we sent home on Friday to order and pay with cash, check, or money order. Please fill out the order form completely with exact payment sealed in the envelope. Students turn this in ON PICTURE DAY (please not before).

2. Place your order securely online using the link below. You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours after placing your order.

Sale Ends Sept. 10th

If you've been thinking about ordering some Deerfield spirit wear during our Back-To-School Sale, now is the time to do it! Our sale ends soon. Universal Dyslexia Screener

In compliance with Indiana Code 20-35.5, Deerfield Elementary School will administer a universal screener for learning characteristics related to dyslexia within the first 90 days of school. Learn more here.
