Rocket Update April 21st

Good Morning Rose Lane Families!

I hope you had a restful 3 day weekend and were able to enjoy some extra time with your kiddos.🙂

We will officially be kicking off our Heart Challenge event tomorrow. Here is the link to the Heart Challenge Website if you want to help us reach our goal.

We already have $925 out of $1,500 raised! 💓 Thank you so much for supporting this cause!

• When we reach $1,500 lifesaving donations raised, Mr. Reyes will be SILLY STRINGED!
• All students who complete Finn's Mission will receive a RAFFLE TICKET FOR A SURPRISE GIFT!
• Classroom with the most participation (students registered) will receive an ICE CREAM PARTY!

Don't forget! This Friday is our Open House, Art Show, and Talent Show. Classrooms will be open and available from 4:30 - 5:30 PM to visit. Teachers will be sharing work that your child has completed throughout the year. 🙂 During this time there will also be food trucks available as well as an opportunity to view student Art work in multiple locations.

Finally, we will open doors for the Talent Show at 5:30. The Talent Show will take place from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. It's going to be a great event and we hope to see you all there!

Families, please continue to make being at school a priority. I know as we get close to the end of the year it can feel like we are slowing down, but that is not the case. We still have our end of the year benchmark assessments for reading and math in all grade levels. We also have a ton of fun events that we have scheduled for the end of the year. These will all be included on the May calendar. But please make sure you are still prioritizing your child/children being here at Rose Lane each day. We still have plenty of learning taking place as we prepare them for next year. 🙂 Thank you for your support!

Art Masterpiece needs YOU!

Since 1983, Art Masterpiece has become a beloved program in the Madison School District to educate our students about artists who have made a significant impact in history. No art experience is required to become a volunteer for Art Masterpiece. We provide training, as well as presentations, resources, and ideas for projects for you to use or you can make it your own!

As a volunteer for Art Masterpiece you will present information about an artist, their art, history, geographic and cultural relevance, artistic value, unique aspects, art appreciation and create a fun art project with students!

Please remember not to park along the sidewalks on Rose Lane Street. Thank you for adhering to this and keeping our students safe!

• 7:15 AM - School Office Doors and Campus Gates open for students.
• 7:15 to 7:40 AM- Our playgrounds will be available for use by students in the morning at designated locations related to their grade level.
• 7:40 AM - First bell, all students enter their classrooms.
• 7:45 AM - Instruction begins. Students who arrive at or after 7:45 are recorded as tardy, and will need to report to the attendance office for a tardy slip.
• 10:50 AM -12:50 PM - Lunch at grade level assigned times. Students eat lunch for 20 minutes, then report to a designated location on the playground for supervised recess.
• 2:30 PM - All Students Kindergarten through 4th grade dismissed per Rose Lane dismissal procedure.

🚩If your child is here for more than 15 minutes past dismissal time, attempts will be made to contact parents, guardians, or emergency contacts provided by you on your child’s emergency card. If these attempts are unsuccessful, the police will be contacted. Parents will be required to meet with an administrator after 5 late pick-ups.
