NEWS FROM THE PANTHER DEN
WEEK 33 EDITION
WEEK 33 REFLECTION
This Thursday was National College Decision Day, an important day on the school calendar when high school seniors across the country finalize their post-secondary commitments. For the PTHS Class of 2025, it is a day that symbolizes more than just choosing a school or a career path. It represents years of dedication, perseverance, and personal growth. It is also a reminder that every student's path beyond high school is uniquely theirs, whether that leads to a four-year university, a two-year college, a trade school, military service, or the workforce.
The past few weeks the hallways were filled with a mix of excitement, nerves, and pride as seniors were deciding on their futures. Thursday it culminated with seniors proudly sporting sweatshirts or shirts representing their next steps. These outward signs tell the world what we already know: our students are ready. They have adapted, evolved, and now, they are beginning to excel on a broader stage.
Decision Day isn't only about the destination. It is about the journey that brought them here. It is about the teachers who challenged them to think critically, the coaches and advisors who pushed them to dig deeper, and the families who supported every late-night study session and weekend practice. It is about students realizing that success isn’t a straight line but a series of decisions, some bold and some cautious, that shape who they become.
To the Class of 2025: I am proud of you. Your choices reflect your passions, your values, and your resilience. You have grown into thoughtful young adults, and no matter where you go from here, know that the Golden Panther community will always be cheering you on.
To the underclassmen: Watch closely. The seniors are leaving a legacy of ambition and courage. Use their example to fuel your own dreams. Now is the time to explore interests, ask questions, and start carving your path—college and career readiness is a journey that begins long before senior year.
To the faculty: Thank you. Your dedication, committment and desire to see your students succeed has helped get them to this moment. Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, Know that your hard work pays off. Through the positive times and through the times that challenge you, our students have been placed in a position where they will have the tools necessary to begin this next phase of their lives because you have been a part of their journey.
Let us continue to lift each other up and celebrate the many ways our students are defining success i their own way. Congratulations to the PTHS Class of 2025 for making the decision to live your excellence on your terms! Let's Go Panthers! #nocknation
