Highlights of the Week

It is so great to have to the students back in the building, and enjoy the energy that they bring. I know for myself the anticipation of the first day of school still gets me excited and impacts my sleep, but now that the year is rolling it feels good to be back in a groove.

I would like to take the opportunity to remind parents to drop into the local RCMP detachment and have a criminal record check completed if you are planning to volunteer at our school in any capacity, which includes volunteer drivers.

Cross Country Running

We had a number of students join Mrs. Norman for cross country running practice during recess this week. Cross country practices will continue to at first recess on Tuesdays & Thursdays, which optional grade 5-9 practices after school on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 4:30 at the Lamp.

We are excited to announce that we are planning to host the 1st Annual Eagles' View Coulee Run as part of the Clearview Cross Country Series on Monday, September 23rd! Keep watch for more information!

Volleyball

Teams are set and ready to go. Practices for both teams will start next week. The girls will practice on Tuesdays from 3:15 - 4:45, and the boys will practice at the same time on Thursdays. Thank you in advance to Trent Erickson and Jordyn Robinson for taking time to coach our athletes. All the best this season!

Parent Council Meeting - Tuesday, September 10th

I would like to extend an invitation for all parents to attend the Parent Council Meeting on Tuesday, September 10th, 3:30 pm at the school. The Parent Council is a vital to our school. This past year being principal of Donalda School, I got a clearer understanding of how important our Parent Council and how they impact the lives of our students. It would be great to see a full house on Tuesday, as we look to start planning for this year.
