Tiger News
Hello parents and guardians,
We wanted to inform you of our new binder organizational project. All students were given a binder with divider sheets to separate their classes. In their binder students are to keep their agenda and their notes from all their classes. EVERY TWO WEEKS the homeroom teacher will conduct a binder check where the teacher will make sure all papers are in the correct spot and the agenda is filled out.
We have parent teacher conferences coming up on January 31st. Conferences are going to look a little different this time with the students presenting a slideshow to show their progress and goals. Please be on the lookout in Skyward to schedule a time to meet with your homeroom teacher.

Last week students learned about the Civil Rights Movement including key participants. They learned to identify cause and effect relationships and how to summarize text.
This week students will be taking the KELPA practice tests to prepare for the KELPA which opens February 3, 2025. All students who were screened at the beginning of the year will take the test whether they receive services or not. This is a Kansas state requirement.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me and I'll be happy to answer them. In addition, I am available during parent conferences January 31, 2025 to answer questions as well.
Thank you
