Cool Classrooms
Let’s play Life! Financial math students used the knowledge they gained throughout the semester to make decisions and then balance a monthly budget. The students had to research and make choices about such things as housing, vehicles, insurance, cell phones, credit cards and more. Once chosen, they ran through life scenarios over a few month period. With a roll of a dice they could have won the lottery one month and had an exploding hot water heater the next. Students were very engaged while participating in this creative and fun summative assessment.
