Carline Etiquette 101~Reminders and 1 Addition
We continue to shave off minutes in our carline each day. Many thanks for your help.
Can you help? Offering a kind gesture by sharing the carline ~by letting one car in at time and allowing for the line to continue to move.
Reminder of a few carline etiquette reminders.
Morning Drop-Off
- Stay in the line and do not cut. This helps us with ensuring that our little ones get out of the car safely.
- Continue to pull forward and find next open, available cone. Try not to leave gaps and move forward so we can ensure we can get to many cars at one time. This also ensures that all parents can move forward to leave to get on to work or next stop.
- Please stay in your car. Staff members will ensure that your child will get out of your car. Occasional parking is understandable. Please pull into a parking spot if you need to get out of your car.
- Be attentive at all times. Please ensure all little ones are inside the car and not hanging out of the car. We want them safe.
- Ensure bookbags are ready, folders are in bookbags, papers signed, etc. before your carline stop. This ensures another safe drop-off and keeps the line moving.
Afternoon Pick-Up
- Please stay in your car and leave the car sign up until your child gets into the car.
- After your child has been called another adult helper in the carline will need to know your child's name so please leave car sign up.. We have found that the pant hangers are the best to see especially hanging from the rearview mirror.
- After your child is placed in the car, please move forward and out of the car line to buckle up your child.
- Please stay in the carline and do not drive around cars. Safety of our children is of the upmost importance to us.
FALL PICTURE DAY ~Monday, Sept. 16, 2024
Picture Day information from LifeTouch went home with your child. Please let us know if you didn't receive it.
District Bus Transportation Communication
The transportation department will be using Blackboard communication program as the primary mean of communicating late buses or bus issues.
The transportation call center hotline number is 843-954-5100.
Transportation Changes
Please make every effort to make arrangements for transportation before your child comes to school. Students should know how they are going to get home each day. We realize that emergencies do arise and changes sometimes need to be made. If it is necessary to make such changes, please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. Unless we hear from you or a parent note, students will go home their regular way.
Reminders~Tardies and Early Sign-outs
Something to think about....
If a child is 5 minutes or more late for school for 5 days that is 25 minutes (or more) of missed instruction.
If a child is signed out early for several day in a row, that is also valuable instruction lost. Think about this, if a child is signed out even at 1:45 (our latest sign out time) more than once in a week-let's say even 2 days a week-that is over an hour of instruction lost in the afternoon.
Time in classroom is very important. Please help us with this.
Scholastic Book Fair is Here!!!!!
