Tomorrow, our community will vote on Issue 6, a BCSD RENEWAL operating levy. This levy maintains funding for a levy initially approved by voters in 1994 and represents 4% of our operating budget. Renewal of this levy WILL NOT INCREASE TAXES. For more information, including frequently asked questions, a video of Treasurer Mark Pepera’s presentation to the Board of Education, and links to newspaper articles, please visit the Issue 6 page of the BCSD website. On Election Day, polls will be open from 6:30 AM until 7:30 PM. To find your polling location, click HERE.
World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st)
Join us in celebrating World Down Syndrome Day on Thursday, March 21st, by wearing your craziest socks! The choice of this date is symbolic: the 21st day of the 3rd month represents the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome, which is the genetic anomaly causing Down syndrome. Participating in the nationwide “Lots of Socks” campaign is a fun and powerful way to show support and raise awareness for the Down syndrome community. Capture your spirit and creativity by sharing a photo of your wackiest socks. Let's fill our social media feeds with color and joy. Don't forget to tag BCSD! Together, we can make a difference.
