It's Finally Here!
Your favorite week of the year is here: Core Wars 2016! The semester is nearing the halfway mark and you've worked hard, so treat yoself to benefit Camp Kesem UGA by attending the percentage nights and events we have lined up:
Wednesday, October 5: Your Pie from 5-9 p.m. (on Lumpkin)
Friday, October 7: Whiskey ALL NIGHT LONG (bar hours: 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.)
This week of philanthropy and fun kicks off with this month's general body meeting on Monday, October 3rd in MLC 171 at 8 p.m. If you are a member of a Color Core, attending these events will help your Core win points to win a mystery prize. The winning core will be announced at our field-game-style conclusion to the week on Thursday on Myers Quad at 6:30 p.m. If you're not part of a Core, you can still attend these percentage nights to benefit an awesome cause or join a Core! It's not too late!
Don't forget to also keep the following week in your sights! October 10th through 14th is UGA Homecoming week, and as a Core Member, you have a chance to apply to be part of Camp Kesem's Homecoming Committee. If you are artistic, have great ideas about how to design a banner or a float, or just want to get more involved, please consider applying! We will discuss all the details regarding homecoming at the general body meeting this Monday.
