Falcon Ridge Family Updates
October 14, 2024
News and Tidbits
It was so nice seeing many of our families at the PTO sponsored Trunk or Treat event on Friday! We appreciate our PTO for sponsoring this fun family activity at the school. The students sported their costumes and it was a fun evening together.
Please check out this newsletter to see the MANY free books we received from the Book Fair. We appreciate the support of our parents and PTO.
Speaking of activities, we are also looking forward to the Falcon Ridge family night at the Farmstead in Kuna on October 21st. This has become a wonderful fall tradition at our school. See the PTO Corner for details.
We are nearing the end of the quarter! Please check Power School for your student's progress and talk to them about how they can achieve excellence this year.
As we dive deeper into the school year, please remember that struggle is a good thing—it’s a natural part of learning and growth. By pushing through challenges, our students build resilience and a strong foundation for future success. Our character focus this month is excellence, in both character and academics.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jorgensen

Cowboy Up!
This year, our theme is Cowboy Up: Raising the Rigor. We are committed to holding our students to the highest standards, not only in their schoolwork and homework but also in their manners and behavior. At Falcon Ridge, we are passionate about shaping responsible, respectful, and well-rounded citizens. Together, we will ensure that every student leaves our school ready to excel in all areas of life.
Safe School Pick-Up
As part of our continuous commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all our students, we kindly remind you of our designated student pickup protocol.
For the safety of our students, we ask that you please adhere to the following guidelines during the student pickup process:
Designated Pickup Spot: Please arrive at the designated pickup spot indicated by the school. This helps streamline the pickup process and ensures a smooth flow of traffic.
Teacher Supervision: Our teachers will be present at the pickup spot to assist with safely escorting students to your vehicles. This also allows us to verify that the student is being picked up by an authorized person.
Communication: If there are any changes to the pickup routine, such as a different authorized person picking up the student, please inform the school office in advance. This will help us avoid any confusion and ensure the safety of your child.
Patience and Courtesy: We kindly ask for your patience during the pickup process, especially during peak times. Your courtesy towards fellow parents and staff is greatly appreciated.
By adhering to these guidelines, we can collectively maintain a secure environment for all students. We sincerely thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you for your ongoing support in prioritizing the safety of our students.
Middle School Sports Practice and Home Games
Middle School Sports Practice and Home Games
We are so excited that the sports season has begun! Here is some important information regarding practices and home games:
Elementary students and siblings must be accompanied by an adult and can come to games when doors open
Siblings of students can not stay after school during practices due to not have staff to supervise students who are not participating
The main doors will be unlocked at 3:30 for home game guests
Thank you for all your support in making the Book Fair and Trunk or Treat both a huge success!
As many of you may have noticed we used a new, local company this year with outstanding results. Even the owners were amazed at the support of our families at such a small school. From the book fair we were able to fulfill every teacher's wish list and more. Those books were added to your student's classrooms this last week.
It was great seeing so many dressed up and enjoying each other’s company on Friday night. Thank you to all those who donated candies, toys, and decorated trunks!
Up next is Falcon Ridge Family Farmstead Night with Kiss the Pig on October 21st. Our teachers competing to kiss the pig this year are Ms. Tatum, our first grade teacher, and Mrs. Roberts, our middle school English teacher. Students are welcome to bring in change to vote for the teacher of their choice. The teacher who raised the most money will get to kiss at 6:30 on the 21st. If you mention our school when purchasing tickets you will get in at a discounted rate, as well as the school getting $1 back per admission. Flyers went home with your students. If you have any questions please reach out to the pto through email.
