Special Education Millage...Nov 5th
On the November 5th ballot, voters will be asked to consider renewing a special education millage. If the millage renewal is approved, all millage dollars would stay local. The revenue generated would be used to pay for services mandated for special education all across Washtenaw County - including Pleasant Ridge and other schools within the district.
Registered voters residing in Washtenaw ISD’s service area - including voters living within Saline Area Schools boundaries - can vote in person on Tuesday, November 5. Voters can also vote early in person or by absentee ballot. To learn more about the special education millage renewal, you can visit the WISD’s website at www.washtenawisd.org/SpecialEdRenewal or call 734-994-8100.
PR's Fall Book Fair...
Our first book fair of the 2024-2025 school year is quickly approaching! Our book fair will be held November 11-14th with extended hours during our PJs & Pancakes event on November 13th. Please take a moment to view our homepage, create your student's E-wallet, volunteer to staff the bookfair, or donate to our Share the Fair! Last year, we received $400 in community donations. Your generous donations helped share the love of reading with 25 children! Please consider donating to our Share the Fair E-wallet to continue to help get books into the hands of all children at Pleasant Ridge.
Share Your Winter Holiday Traditions with Pleasant Ridge!
Dear Pleasant Ridge Families,
We are excited to invite you to help enrich our understanding of the wonderful diversity within our community! This winter, as part of our school-wide Community Meeting on December 6th, we are looking for presenters to teach students about the winter holidays celebrated between November and February by our Pleasant Ridge families. Whether it's a holiday you celebrate in your home or a tradition that is meaningful to your family, we invite you to share it with us.
If you are interested in presenting and sharing about your holiday tradition, please reach out to the Pleasant Ridge Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Team through Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Harrison, or Mrs. Garin. Together, we hope to create a space that celebrates the unique cultures, traditions, and celebrations within our community.
Thank you for helping us make Pleasant Ridge a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone!
Warm regards,
Pleasant Ridge DEI Team

Winter Gear
We believe outdoor recess is an important and valuable part of our students’ day. Fresh air, exercise and time spent outside afford students a break from the structure of the classroom. As the winter season approaches, it is imperative that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather and is prepared to play outside. During the colder months, at a minimum, every child should have a jacket, gloves, or mittens and a hat. When the snow arrives, snow boots and pants are necessary. Thank you for your support.
