We are looking forward to seeing our students and families next week at schedule pick up! Below you will find information regarding schedule pick up and more! If you are not able attend during the scheduled times, the building will be open during school hours August 12 - 15 and on Monday, August 19. Schedules will also be available on Parent/StudentVue on August 8.

We are looking forward to having students back in the building and to another great year at AGS!

AGS Schedule Pick Up

Schedule Pick-up / Registration / Orientation / School Photos:

6th GRADE – Thursday, August 8, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

**Meet the Principals N-Z 9:30 – 9:50 / A-M 10:00 – 10:20

7th GRADE – Friday, August 9, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

8th GRADE – Friday, August 9, Noon – 2:00 PM

** This is the only opportunity to register, pick up schedules, and receive locker assignments prior to the start of the school year. However, the building will be open for students to walk their schedule, organize lockers, etc. before school begins (as indicated in the section above).

Information Stations:

1. Photo Station - All students should have their picture taken for the yearbook and school ID – even if a packet is not purchased.

2. Food Service/ Meal Magic Information – Food service staff will answer any questions. You can even put money on your account!

3. Transportation Information – Parent drop-off procedure, bus routes/numbers/rules

4. PTO Information – members of the AGS PTO will provide information regarding fundraising and volunteer opportunities. AGS Spirit items for sale!!

5. Schedule Pick – Up - In the event that your child's schedule needs an adjustment there will be a Google Form to complete. Link will be shared.

6. Chromebook Pick - Up - all 6th grade students and new students will receive a chromebook.

*there will be a scheduled picture re-take days during the school year if you are unable to attend in August.

Meet Mrs. Yelle, Assistant Principal

Hello AGS Families! I am Megan Yelle, the new assistant principal at AGS. I am very excited to join the AGS Family and looking forward to meeting everyone soon. I am a veteran educator with twenty-four years of successful teaching and leading experience and an enthusiasm for kids and learning. I can't wait to share my abundant energy and excitement for learning with our AGS staff and students. I have an active family that I enjoy spending time with. My husband Matt and our three children Nataleigh, Kaidance, and Liam enjoy competing in sports, camping, boating, and having fun together. Enjoy the remainder of the summer and I will see you soon!

Happy Summer AGS Families!

As we get closer to the start of school I wanted to reach out and reintroduce myself. My name is Lauren Underwood and I am your School Home Coordinator. My main goals and focus are making sure that our students and families basic needs are being met so our kids can be the best version of themselves.

AGS Office Addition

Below are a few updated photos showing the progress of our new main office addition. During this time, the entrance off of Shiawassee may be closed. There will be more details in the FAPS newsletter and on the FAPS website as the project continues. We are excited about improving the facility for our staff, students, and families.

Pancake Breakfast

We hope you can join us for the annual Back to School Pancake Breakfast. The event will be held at AGS on Sunday, September 8. The event features Guinness World Record holder Chris Cakes of Michigan, FAPS Principal Pancake Catching Contest, kids games, and more! We hope to see you there!
