Message From The Principal
Greetings Tiger fam,
This past week, we completed our final MOCK STAAR EOC round of testing. I want you to know that our dedicated teachers and staff are using the information from these practice tests to intentionally review, refine, and support your child as we head into the final weeks of instruction before the real STAAR assessment. Overall, we are pleased with our results and expect another strong academic year when everything is finalized.
I would also like to emphasize the importance of attendance. It is crucial that our Tigers attend school every day. Even if students are passing at the end of the year, if they have more than 18 absences for a year-long course or more than 9 for a semester course, they will be denied credit. This is the 90% Rule outlined by state law. On Monday, I will address all students during announcements to emphasize this requirement. For our senior Tigers, this could mean not walking across the stage at graduation if credit is denied due to excessive absences.
On Tuesday, I will meet with all seniors who are at risk of not graduating due to absences. We will discuss their pathway to recovery and work together to ensure they are in good standing. It is essential that from now until the end of the year, our students are in class, in their seats, present, and ready for instruction.
Together, lets finish the year strong in suporting our Tigers and thier success. Plese reach out to us if you need assistnace in any way. I hope you have a great week ahead!
Your Proud Principal,
Mr. Arredondo

🚗 Student Pick-Up Reminder – Use Designated Areas Only! 🚗
Parents, please do not pick up students on the football field side of campus. This area is reserved for buses and staff parking, and unauthorized pick-ups create unnecessary congestion and safety concerns.
⚠️ Violators will be asked to move and reported.
To keep traffic flowing smoothly and ensure safety for everyone, please use the designated pick-up areas. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and organized dismissal process! 🚦
🎒 Clear Backpacks Required – Please Check Your Student’s Bag! 🎒
Parents, please help us ensure your student is following the district’s clear backpack policy. To maintain a safe and secure learning environment, all students must use a clear backpack each day.🚨 Non-clear backpacks will be confiscated for the day and returned to the student after school. To avoid any issues, please check your student’s backpack before they leave for school and remind them of this important policy. If your student needs a clear backpack, please contact the school for assistance.
Dress Code Reminder: 🧣
A reminder to stay in dress code and know that we are enforcing the dress code. If a student is out of dress code, they will be sent to ISS until a change of clothes can be provided.
Common Violations to Avoid:
- No crop tops or midriff-baring shirts (jackets can’t be used to cover them).
- No BLANKETS, pajama pants, or slippers.
- Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be no more than a dollar bill’s length above the knee.
Thank you for helping us keep a positive and focused learning environment!
