Beware of Email Scams
Just a reminder to use caution with any email that includes a link to activate, recover or review recent activity. I received an email that looked like it was from Microsoft telling me that they detected something unusual about a recent sign-in to my Microsoft account (see below). It even listed that the sign-in came from Russia and it included an IP address. It really looked legit, but I didn't clink on any links. Instead, I just reset my password. That gave me a little peace of mind. We have the multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled on our @celesteisd.org accounts. This function will send you a verification code that will alert you when someone is trying to access your account. Should you get a code, and it is not you, you should reset your password. To reset your password, you will need to be at school. Click > Ctrl Alt Delete > change password and it will prompt you to type in your new password. This will also reset your computer login with your new password. Remember to forward a suspicious email to us, and we can check it out for you!
