❗ Visit yqcaprogram.org to log in or register - the cost is $12 paid online. Submit YQCA certificates to the office in person or by email to qualify exhibitors to show at Fremont 4-H Expo, Dodge County Fair, or Nebraska State Fair! ❗

YQCA is an annual education and certification program focused on food safety, animal well-being and character awareness required for youth ages 8 to 21 who produce and/or show pigs, beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, and poultry.

Visit dodge.fairwire.com to make required Pre-Entries for All ANIMALS and Shooting Sports, ATV, and Culinary Challenge Contests.

Horse, Beef, Swine, Sheep, Goat, Dairy, Bucket Calf, Rabbit, Poultry, Dog, and Companion Animal entries are required to be made by July 15.

• Horses, Beef, Swine, Sheep, Goats, Dairy, Bucket Calves, and Rabbits must have been identified in the Dodge County Extension Office by June 15 to be eligible to enter for County Fair
• YQCA is required for exhibitors of all species that require identification, along with all Poultry exhibitors. Submit all YQCA certificates to the Extension Office - Staff cannot view certificates through the YQCA website.

Static Exhibit Entry is optional online - complete by July 18 for the Extension Office to print your static entry tags. Entry tags will be available in the Extension Office and at check in during the fair.

The Fremont 4-H Expo is July 10-13. This event is a great 'practice fair' for anyone wanting some feedback from judges before the County and State Fairs. There are animal shows, contests, and static exhibits. No pre-entry is required for Animal Shows or Static Exhibits - simply enter at check in time!

DC Shooting Stars has started offering Archery as a discipline in Shooting Sports! Initial sessions will be in the basement of the City of Dodge’s Auditorium. Sessions will be on Thursday nights at 7pm. If you have schedule conflicts please reach out to Andy Beckman, his contact is below.

We will have initial beginner sessions to introduce kids to Archery. This will cover how to use the equipment, safety rules, range etiquette, etc. Participants are welcome to bring their own archery equipment, we will have equipment available for use if you don’t have your own equipment. Participants need to follow the 4-H Shooting Sports age requirements to participate and be members of the D.C. Shooting Starts 4-H Shooting Sports club. Select Archery as a project in 4honline!

The summer 2024 theme is The Power of Being 🍀 Green. Youth will get to explore and interact with their natural world in five different sessions, exploring how they can use their head, heart, hands, and health to make our natural world a better place for all.

A limited number of scholarships are available, and we encourage families to apply. The application can be completed at go.unl.edu/campscholarship.

These Ambassadors will advocate for Dodge County 4-H at local events and help mentor younger 4-H members, acting as role model in 4-H. Ambassadors develop their communication skills while promoting 4-H!

The 4-H Council is the governing body of the 4-H program, helping to direct decisions in the program that effect all members and volunteers. Some adult members serve specific parts of the county. Other adults, plus all youth members, serve the county program at large. If you have issues, concerns, suggestions, or ideas, share them with a council member.
