(formerly referred to as Georgia Numeracy)
Class Overview
Join the PLAEA Math team in collaboration with PLAEA Special Education Consultants to learn more about your role in MTSS and the use of the Numeracy Project materials to guide instruction for SDI or Tier 3 Interventions. This course includes collaboration around the implementation of assessments and instruction between AEA staff and the participating teachers. This learning opportunity is geared toward K-12 special education teachers and math interventionists providing tier 3 interventions. As part of this learning, participants will receive coaching with a member of the PLAEA math team.
Learning Objectives
Participants will...
- Develop how they support identified students through all of the tiers in an system through the lens of mathematics;
- Learn how to diagnose student needs through the use of the Numeracy Project materials;
- Use the tools to design instruction which addresses the learning needs for individual students.
