Weekly Update
Hello Families,
Welcome to the second half of the year. This week was the start of third term. Should you need a hard copy of your report card, please email the Counseling Department at ksearl@douglasps.net.
We are now gearing up for our annual Winter Carnival. The Snow Ball is the event that really kicks it off. We'll be holding team based activities on the day before February Break.
Please fill out the Communication Survey for the district so we can better serve our community. LINK
Our first MyCAP day was met with great success. Students at various points in their high school career were able to engage in meaningful activities geared towards their future aspirations.

Graduation
Graduation is coming up sooner than we all think. As we see our seniors prepare for their departure, we want to be prepared for our celebration day on Friday, May 30th at 5:30pm. The celebration is currently scheduled to be outdoors, weather depending. A final decision for an indoor or outdoor celebration will be made by the end of the school day on Thursday, May 29th should we have inclimate weather.
More updates will be forthcoming, but the date and time are set. We can't wait to celebrate with you.
Communication Survey
The Douglas Public Schools are always exploring ways to improve district and school communications with families, please take a moment to let us know your experiences and how you prefer to receive school communications. As experiences may differ from school to school we ask that you fill one per school. All answers will remain anonymous.

BABY PICTURES!!
Hi good afternoon,
The link below is the google form for the students to fill out for their senior baby pictures! If it could put it in the news or weekly letter that is sent out. Also if it could be emailed to parents! That way we are able to get everyones pictures in the year book! The deadline is Jan 10,2025! Please email me if you have any questions!
Senior Pictures
Hello Class of 2025!
The yearbook staff is now ready to accept senior portraits!
There are a few ways you can do this.
1. Log into Treering.com, create an account, and purchase the yearbook. There is a flyer below to help you get started.
2. Upload your child's portrait directly into the TreeRing software. Here is an article explaining the steps.
https://help.treering.com/s/article/Uploading-a-Portrait-Photo-of-Your-Child
OR
Send this link for senior pictures to your photographer and have them upload the picture through this Google Form: https://forms.gle/BuaP2EVffiS8B86S9. Please have them change the name of the file to the student's name.
The yearbook is on sale through May 15th. They will include events all the way through graduation so they will arrive at the school in early July. Students can pick them up in the main office during normal business hours once they arrive.
You have the option of creating two FREE custom pages of your own to be included in your book. This is a great way to personalize your yearbook! (You can purchase more pages for a nominal fee if you wish). I have included instructions in the 2nd flyer below.
Lastly, there is an area for you to upload baby pictures to your TreeRing account for us to include in a section in the book. Our goal is to get one baby picture per student! Typically these are of students when they were age 3 or younger - good luck picking!! We will be providing an alternate means to upload them shortly, but if you are already in your TreeRing account and wish to upload it now, you may.
I appreciate your patience as we work through this new senior portrait policy this year. Please let me know if you have any questions or run into any issues.
Sincerely,
Emily Costa
