For Advisors
Important Information and Action Items for Advisors
Reminder to Place No-Show Flags
Please make sure to use the No-Show flag on your students that no-show. It will help our assessment efforts tremendously this semester.
Duplicate Credit and DegreeWorks
- If two course were once considered duplicate credit, but are no longer, and one of those courses is in the non-credit block on the student's degree audit, you can contact the Registrar's Office about moving the first iteration of the course from deleted credit to the credit-granting portion of the audit.
- NOTE: This is only for courses that were duplicate credit, but aren't any more.
Advising Registration Holds Placed
- Academic advisement holds for registration clearance have been placed on continuing students in Banner for the Fall 2020 semester.
- Please be aware that you may have students who have active registration holds for Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 who did not register for either one of these semesters but want to register for Fall 2020. In such cases, all active registration holds will need to be cleared.
- The begin date of the academic advisement hold for Fall semester 2020 will be the anticipated first day of registration, Thursday, April 2, 2020. Please note that this date is different than the originally slated first date of Fall 2020 Ticketed Registration.
- Ticketed registration information is located in the 2020-2021 tab at https://reg.uga.edu/general-information/calendars/registration-dates/
Tribute to Ed Harris (from Mike Merva)
- The generosity of previous and current advisors alike has enabled us to provide a $275 donation to AthFest Educates in honor of Ed Harris. Ed was not only a lifelong music lover, but also cared about spreading that love of music to children, which is exactly what AthFest Educates stands for. Thanks so much to those who donated.
