Coming Up This Month

Exhibition and Open House: Join us for our End of Hexter Exhibition and Open House! Come view the Hex 4 projects and find out what your students have been learning at the Exhibition from 5:00-6:00.

Do you know any parents or students that are interested in IA? The Prospective Student Open House from 6:00-7:00 is a perfect opportunity for them to come check out the school. This time is exclusively for students considering IA to explore the school, chat with teachers, and learn what IA is all about!

Staff Spotlight

Karyn McAllister

Ms. McAllister has been working in education for 16 years, and this is her second year as an Instructional Coach! Before she got into education, she was a marine biologist with a Third Mate’s License. What does that mean? “Basically, I can drive big ships across the ocean.” On top of that, she also has a culinary degree and used to work as a chef at a hotel and convention center in Texas!

Ms. McAllister spends her free time outdoors! She loves to hike, bike, raft, snowshoe, ski, backpack, and garden with her husband of 27 years. Her kids are all in college, but she loves to spend time with all of her family whenever they come home.

Safety and Security is a shared value in the Medford School District. This month our school participated in a Fire Drill. Students practiced evacuating safely.

Principal's Message

Welcome to March!

This week we close out Hex 4 and hope to see all of you at the End of Hexter Exhibition on Wednesday evening. These celebrations of learning are a time to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our students and staff and your support as the families and community as well. Please join us from 5-6pm to see this hexter’s projects!


We are also gearing up for registration for the 2024-2025 school year. All current Innovation Academy students will be eligible for registration for next school year at IA. We will have a June registration deadline before we open available spots for those on the waitlist. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon.
