Black History Month
In celebration of Black History Month, Ms. S's kindergarten class read You Are Enough by Grace Byers. The students discussed the importance of embracing our differences and shared what makes each of them unique. Afterwards, they created drawings of themselves highlighting their special qualities!
Re-Enrollment for 2025-2026 is Open!
Almost half of our families have already re-enrolled for next year, and we're so glad to continue learning with you in 2025-2026! If you haven't yet re-enrolled your students through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal, be sure to do so before February 28th! Spots for next year are only guaranteed until Friday, February 28th, at which time all remaining seats will be offered to new students in the lottery. Please make sure you complete re-enrollment in February! You can learn more by visiting the Re-Enrollment page of the CWCKC website.
Please reach out to Tisha Kidd if you have any issues logging into your Parent Portal.
Siblings of current students receive sibling priority when enrolling for the first time. If you have other children whom you would like to enroll as new students at CWC for the 2025-2026 school year, be sure to fill out the SchoolAppKC application before March 1st so that they have the best chance for a spot in the lottery. Reach out to Katy Lineberry with any questions about enrollment for new or current students.
If your family will not be returning for the 2025-2026 school year, please email Katy Lineberry with this information, as we are required to account for every student's intentions for next year. This will also ensure you don't continue to receive reminder emails and calls. Thank you!

Counselor's Corner
from Ms. Katie Kriefall
Kindness is a small act that makes a big difference! Whether it’s sharing a smile, offering a helping hand, or including someone who feels left out, kindness builds strong friendships and a positive school community. Research shows that acts of kindness can boost happiness, reduce stress, and create a sense of belonging.
Try these simple ways to encourage kindness at home:
✔️Ask your child, "What’s one kind thing you did today?"
✔️Model kindness by thanking others and showing appreciation.
✔️Read books about kindness, like Have You Filled a Bucket Today?
By making kindness a daily habit, we can help children grow into caring and compassionate individuals.
Check out these articles from Harvard Health and Random Acts of Kindness for more information on the research if interested!
