The Arc's Center for Future Planning
The Arc’s Center for Future Planning has developed a series of new videos on the following topics:

Transitions to Adulthood Center for Research Considering College Tip Sheet
The goals of Transitions ACR include:
- Improve outcomes by effectively disseminating knowledge to key stakeholders. Many of our tip sheets were developed & reviewed with input from young adults with serious mental health conditions.
- Support youth & young adults as students, learners, and workers. Youth and young adults with serious mental health conditions face obstacles in learning & working.

PEAL's 21 and Able project, powered by United Way, is gathering information from families about their teenagers/young adults and what they'd like to learn about secondary transition and how PEAL can support them!
Parents and caregivers have a lot of questions about secondary transition. The survey link posted below aims to understand what PEAL’s 21 and Able Project can do to support families and caregivers in the secondary transition process. Complete the survey here!

Webinar: PA Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Savings Program
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL), is offering a webinar on the topic of the PA Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Savings Program. A PA ABLE account gives individuals with qualifying disabilities (eligible individuals) and their families and friends, a tax-free way to save for disability-related expenses while maintaining government benefits. Federal and state law authorized the creation of PA ABLE accounts. The Presentation will be given by a Representative of the PA Treasury Department.
OLTL Service Coordinators, Direct Service Providers, CHC-MCO staff and any individuals that work on employment are strongly encouraged to participate in this webinar that will help you understand the PA ABLE Program and how it can benefit the OLTL participants you serve.
The webinar on PA ABLE is scheduled as follows: January 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Deena is brand new to transition this year! She has experience with students with Autism, and significant cognitive disabilities. Deena is passionate about AAC, giving students a voice, and inclusion.

She previously worked in the MTSS academic initiative. Amy's transition passion is to provide the best transition plans for students including student-centered planning; collaborating with families, agencies, and communities; and building relationships that support the future goals of the students.

Although Michelle is new to transition this year, she is not new to training and consultation! She is proud that the regional transition council meetings are held three times a year and include PATTAN Updates, new learning based on council member requests, and time for the transition coordinators to meet separately to network and brainstorm.
